Question Time
£12.00 | St Williams College | Tuesday, 12th October 2010
Make-York hosted a Question Time-style event at St Williams College and this gave the people of York an opportunity to quiz the decision makers of the city’s business, culture, education and political sectors on issues important to them.
The event was a great success, attracting around 70 delegates with the panel including;
York Business Forum chairman Adam Sinclair chairman of trustees at St Leonard's Hospice, Graham Millar; the Rev Canon Dr Jonathan Draper, York Minster's Canon Theologian; Jessica Grant, director of Higher York and leader of City of York Council, Liberal Democrat councillor Coun Andrew Waller, answering questions, chaired by Greg Wright of the Yorkshire Post.
The panel answered queries from the audience on the state of the city’s economy and what steps can be taken to safeguard York’s future as well as passing comment on Lottery funding for the Minster and whether tourism was an all round good thing for the city.
