MAKE-YORK went all arty for May.
May’s free event was hosted by art gallery According to McGee, at 8 Tower Street, opposite Cliffords Tower. Illustrator Nick Ellwood created some live art while we networked over a complimentary glass of wine. Those attending also explored Hannah Morris’ work which was showing at According to McGee that night.
Greg McGee, Gallery Owner, explains "Hannah has been sparking about the local art scene for the last 4 or 5 years. She'd always come to our shows and studio sessions, we were impressed to see her skills sharpen under York College's tutelage, and we were delighted when we heard she got a 1st from Leeds Met. A free exhibition slot had opened up, and she is a proactive, professional young artist - and so we found that the planets had lined up for a stylish and vivid solo show."
